Description
Step-by-step guide to access, create and edit your ORIS 3D projects in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
Steps
1
ORIS 3D Module for 3D solids
2
Two calculation methods are available from the "ORIS 3D - Solids" module, and both of them rely on the 3D solids identified in the drawing.
3
In the "Material Library" you can create and edit your own libraries of materials before starting your assessment.
4
Video step
5
The "3D Corridor Extracts" functionality is only available in Civil 3D.
6
Video step
7
First you need to select the corridor, baseline(s) and region(s) that will be included in the material assessment.
8
Video step
9
If no solids were extracted from the corridor, the plugin will prompt you to select the solids to be extracted.
10
Video step
11
Video step
12
You need to assign a material to each 3D solid.
13
You can access all your material libraries to retrieve any the materials included.
14
Video step
15
After selecting a material library, you can click on "Material Default" to see a dropdown menu that includes all the materials defined in the selected library.
16
Video step
17
You can also use the "Match Codename" button. It will identify any materials within the selected material library that can match the name of the 3D solid.
18
Video step
19
If no material libraries were previously created, you can directly select the material type, subtype and usage for each 3D solid.
20
Once you have linked all the extracted 3D solids to the materials, you need to export the project to ORIS.
21
Video step
22
Now you need to log into your ORIS account to export the project to ORIS.
23
Video step
24
After exporting the project to ORIS, a new window will be opened in your browser to complete the material assessment in ORIS platform.
25
Video step
26
A separate demo will cover how to complete a material assessment in ORIS platform after exporting the project from Civil 3D or AutoCAD.
27
Video step
28
You can also access and edit your 3D - Solids projects from this menu, with access to the same functionalities as in the "ORIS 3D - Solids" module.
29
Video step
30
The "3D Solids All types" functionality is available in both Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
31
Video step
32
The plugin identifies all the 3D solids and their total volume on all the drawing layers containing 3D solids.
33
Video step
34
Then, a material must be linked to the solids of each layer.
35
Video step
36
As with the "3D Corridor Extracts" functionality, you need to export the project to ORIS.
37
You can also access and edit your 3D - Solids projects from this menu, with access to the same functionalities as in the "ORIS 3D - Solids" module.
