Steps
1
Are you a district leader who needs to add or edit your district's Skills Lead? Read this article to learn how to manage your Skills Leads.
If your district is syncing via Clever or Classlink and the staff member is already in the system, skip to slide 13 to learn how to update a user's permission.
2
As a Group Dashboard Admin, you have the ability to add, edit, and delete the Skills Lead at the schools in your district. This can be done through your 'District admin' menu.
3
Click Data Import.
4
Now, click on "Staff members" tab.
5
After that, click on this link to invite your users.
6
From this page, you'll notice that you have 2 options on how to invite your Skill Leaders or Administrators.
First option is you can invite the user via Satchel with a system generated email, or...
7
You can copy and paste this message to an email containing a link for the user to sign up. This relies on the staff member to accept the invite and create an account.
Either of these options, you will have to change their permission after they've signed up.
8
In this walkthrough, we will focus on how to send via Satchel app.
Start by selecting a school you would like for the user to be assigned under.
9
Enter the user's email address in the email field.
10
You need to make sure that all fields are filled before the system allows you to proceed on this action. So you can just click on the Trash Bin icon to remove the extra fields.
However, if you need more rows to enter extra email address, just click the Add Another Row option.
11
Once done with all of the email addresses you'd like to send an invite to, click on "Send invite".
12
A pop-up window will appear that confirms your action. For the meantime, we will "x" out of this message so we can manually show you how you can get to the "admin" page the pop-up is saying.
13
You just need to click Manage Users from the menu on the left.
14
Afterwards, click on the Status filter option and select Pending.
15
Afterwards, click on "Edit".
16
Now, click on "Permissions" tab.
17
Select the "Administrator" permission.
18
And finally, click on "Update permissions" to wrap up.
