Internet Information Services is required before you can install the Grooper Web Client.

The Grooper Web Client must be installed before you can open Grooper in a web browser. However, before you can install the Grooper Web Client, you must install and configure Internet Information Services (or IIS) on your web server. You can do this using the Windows Server Manager.

Open Windows Server Manager

From the Server Manager, you will install IIS from the "Add Roles and Features" wizard

Click "Manage" then "Add Roles and Features"

This brings up the "Add Roles and Features" wizard. You will step through each dialogue to continue installing IIS.

Select "Role-based or feature-based installation"

Select your server to continue through the installation wizard. In the "Server Roles" editor scroll down until you find "Web Server (IIS)"

Select "Web Server (IIS)"

In the following window, select "Add Features".

Then select "Next" to continue installing IIS features.

Continue through the "Features" and "Web Server Role" dialogues until you get to the "Role Services" editor.

- Basic Authentication
- Windows Authentication

- .NET Extensibility 4.5 (or above)
- ASP

- ISAPI Filters
- WebSocket Protocol
These features must be selected in order for the Grooper Web Client to function properly. Review your selections to make sure all required features are selected. Press the "Next" button to continue.

Click "Install"

The IIS installation will take several minutes. However, once the "Close" button appears, you can close the wizard at any time without interrupting the installation process.

After installation, you'll see IIS in the Server Manager dashboard.
