Description

The Grooper Web Client installs the Grooper website. This allows users to access the Grooper user interface from a web browser.

The Grooper user interface is accessed using a web browser from a URL. The Grooper Web Client is the application that installs the Grooper website on a web server. Before running the Grooper Web Client installer, you should have already installed Grooper and configured IIS on the web server. If you have not done this yet, please do so now.

Unzip the "GrooperWebClient" package and open the extracted folder.

Navigate through the install folders until you find the setup application.

Open the "setup" application.

The installer will take a moment to initialize.

Click "Next" to begin installing.

Read through the Grooper End User License Agreement.

Accept the Grooper EULA

Next, you will enter the user credentials for the Grooper App Pool identity user.

Enter the user name and password for the Grooper App Pool user. - Must be in the form DOMAIN\\Username

Click "Next" when finished.

Add some hotspot text here.

Click "Install" to install the Grooper Web Client.

The installer may take several minutes to run.

Click "Finish" when done.

You can verify the Grooper Web Client's installation by opening IIS. In the "Connections" panel, expand your server and select Application Pools.

FYI: You can change the Grooper App Pool identity in the "Advanced Settings..."

Back in the "Connections" panel, expand the "Sites" folder to see the two websites installed by the Grooper Web Client installer. These are installed under the "Default Web Site" in IIS.

The Grooper website is for the user interface.

The GWS page is for the Grooper REST API.
