Description

Demo of Grooper's automated document classification capabilities with college transcripts.

Steps

1
Watch Grooper's Automated Document Classification!
2
Grooper has many ways to classify documents.
3
Classification groups together similar documents. This is critical for extraction accuracy. However, not all documents need their own classification. Similar documents are grouped together.
4
This is a batch of college transcripts that have been scanned or imported into Grooper.
5
Grooper handles the variation in formatting without zones, registration points, etc.
6
Each institution has its own look and feel - even though the data is similar.
7
Before we classify, we have to separate documents - where does one begin and the next one end? Grooper does not need separator sheets - it analyzes the text on the document.
8
Now, we have individual documents. These can be single-page or multi-page documents.
9
Classify is an automated process - you don't have to select processes like we're doing here.
10
Now, each document is classified. Let's go check how it did.
11
In this testing interface, we can validate quickly that classification is correct.
12
Every document classified as it should be. But what about in a production environment?
13
Here is where operators can easily validate classification - errors are shown with a red flag.
14
Each document will show a confidence score below - this is an optional step, however. Classification can be 100% automated in most situations.
15
Each document can be manually validated quickly and easily.
16
Operators can see how close documents are to each other.
