Description

Steps

1
In this demo, I will walk you through how the Exchange It app manages scenarios where the customer selects exchange items that are priced lower than the original purchase.
2
Click on the exchange request from the dashboard that you want to manage.
3
Next, you will land on the approval page where you can review the exchange request details.
4
Here you can see the product the customer purchased in their original order.
5
Here you can see the product the customer wants in exchange for the original item they purchased.
6
Here you can view a summary of the exchange request.
7
This is the total amount the customer paid for the original order.
8
This is the total amount for the product(s) that the customer wants in exchange.
9
This is the total amount you have to refund to the customer because the product the customer wants in exchange is of lower price.
10
Click on this approve button to approve the exchange request.
11
The next page is the inspection page where you can mark the returned product as received once you get it from the customer.
12
After everything is done, click on the All Received button to proceed to the next step.
13
Next is the Resolution Page, where you can complete the restocking and refund process for the request.
14
Select the restock location for the received product from the customer using the dropdown.
15
Choose the refund method from the dropdown menu.
16
Video step
17
Here you can view the refund summary for the exchange request.
18
Here you can see the total amount that will be refunded to the customer. Since the exchange item is of a lower price, you’ll need to manually subtract the exchange item's cost from the original amount. In this case, subtract £150 from the refund total.
19
Video step
20
So, after subtracting the exchange item's price (£150) and the £30 return fee from the original amount paid (£250), the total amount you need to refund to the customer is £70.
21
At the end, click on the 'Restock and Refund' button to complete the process.
