Migrating to the new Satchel One

Click 'Homework' to access the Calendar, Resources and Insights.

From the calendar, use the filters to see your / other people's tasks or specific classes.

Use the filters in 'Resources' to access all tasks ever created by you and your colleagues.

Click 'More filters' to search by key colleagues, subjects, classes and now 'State' - you can share drafts too! 🎉

'Insights' shows visual data about tasks set. Use the filters to customise your data and view comparisons and trends!

Click 'My Classes' and view any group you teach.

The 'Student list' shows all class members with columns of key information.

From the student list, go to Behaviour / Homework / Seating mode by clicking these buttons.

HOMEWORK View every task set to this class (past and future); use the filters to find what you need and assess tasks easily.

BEHAVIOUR Select students by scrolling down the list, then use these icons to award points or badges.

Fill out your details here, all on one screen for more efficiency!

Sort the student list using different options here.

The breakdown will show points assigned to selected students within the chosen timeframe. By default, it will show all students for the current day.

Seating

SEATING View any plans already created in the new version of Satchel One here. Click 'Create' to make your first plan.

Name your plan and select the room it is based on. You may wish to use a template that's already available or start fresh!

Click on 'Desks' to pick up your seating stamp. No need to choose rows or columns anymore! You can click and drag yourself around this infinite canvas.

After selecting a desk on the right, simply click to stamp seats onto the plan (no need to click and drag!). Drop them close and they'll snap together to make a multiseat desk.

Click on 'Students', then drag and drop your students into place on the desks.

Click 'Card details' to include extra information on your student cards, such as inclusion data and / or assessment data.

Hover over the ℹ️ icon to see some quick details about your students. Click the icon to view Welfare Notes, Health info and Guardian Contacts.

Zoom in or out here, download an image of the plan or make it full screen and remove any sensitive information. If you've zoomed in / out too far, click the zoom percentage itself; this will return you to 100% and bring you back to centre.

Use the options menu ( : ) to save your plan as a template or export it.

Gradebook

Click 'Gradebook' to see an overview of homework submission data for your class.

Choose between viewing due date / issue date here, as well as refining your chosen date range.

Click the title of the task to go to the assess area directly.

Click to highlight a cell, or press and hold Control / Command while clicking to multi-select. Right click on the cell to see more options!

Based on your choice, you'll then be given options for engaging with the task / submissions in a new menu.

Click 'Save' to apply your changes and click the options menu ( : ) to export your gradebook.
